2003 INVASIVE PLANT MONITORING WORKSHOP

and Management of Invasive Plants Program, Cornell University

Sponsorship by the Army Environmental Center
This year’s Invasive Plant Monitoring Workshop will
be held in the Midwest, close to Chicago, IL. The workshop will focus on
biocontrol and monitoring of purple loosestrife (Thursday, June19) and
garlic mustard (Friday, June 20). Plant biology and impact, role of
biocontrol in invasive plant management, need for monitoring, and
introduction to monitoring protocols will be covered in the morning.
Afternoons will be spent in the field setting up and using standardized
monitoring protocols. Participants can sign up for one or both
sessions; each session is limited to 35 participants, and registration
must be received by June 10, 2003.
